Virgin cable broadband customers can be supplied too but need slightly different equipment.
- One free power socket may be needed on some computers with USB Modems.
- One free working networking connection
* on the PC or Notebook next to the broadband modem. If you don't have one this can be fitted on most PC's for an extra £20.* Not needed if the existing modem connects to the PC/Notebook through a network connection already. - One free working USB connection (or PCI slot) on the remote PC/Notebook. If you don't have one a 4 port USB v2 (internal PCI card) can be fitted on most PC's for an extra £20.
- Broadband Modem and PC should be reasonably close together, approximately within 6' or 2m. Longer is not a problem but there may be an extra charge for long cable runs.
- If the PC's and/or Laptops you wish share broadband on are running slowly. Consider the preliminary clean-up option too.
Not exactly sure if you have all that or what a network or USB connection looks like? Most modern PC's and Notebooks have them.

How Long will it Take?
All components are set-up and tested before installation, on site it usually takes about 1 hour. How Far will the Wireless Transmissions Travel?
It depends on both distance and thickness of walls and floors between the transmitter and receiver, in practice up to 30m (100'). Much less if you have thick stone or brick walls, these are found usually in older properties. If the signal from the wireless access point to the remote PC/Laptop runs diagonally through a wall that counts as a very thick wall indeed, so position of the transmitter and aerial on the remote device is important too.
Preliminary Clean-up
If your current system is having problems (ie running slowly) why not take advantage of 30 minutes or 1 hours preliminary work for £10/£20. This includes Virus clean-up, software removal of unused or unwanted software, removal of hacking software, ... and so on.Please note: This does not guarantee removal of all virus's, spy ware and all unnecessary software. However in the vast majority of cases very noticeable improvements can be made.
